Every Land and Sea Market, I love making a "Shout Out" poster utilizing our Butcher Paper Holder. Our first market's shout outs went to Addie Bates, First Citizens Bank, and Russ Bratcher for playing key roles in getting Pelican & Post up and running. This week's local shout out was dedicated to Saltwater Cowboys on Shem Creek.
Mom and I recently enjoyed a laid back Saturday lunch at Saltwater Cowboys on their back patio overlooking beautiful Shem Creek. The beverages were strong, servers were kind and attentive, and the food was fresh and delicious. For a new restaurant, they were running at full capacity with no major hiccups.
So, what do we recommend? Take in the refreshing salt air with Saltwater Cowboy's Mojito, made with freshly muddled mint and lime. Mom and I are all about splitting appetizers. We highly recommend their perfectly pickled fried okra which is served with a side of housemade buttermilk ranch. Round it out with their Trash Can Nachos, perfect chip-to-topping ratio! Top your nachos with your choice of jalapeno pulled pork, seasoned beef, or smoked turkey. Jalapeno pulled pork? Yes please!
All in all, great location, great service, and great food. Pelican & Post gives them two wings up! Keep up it up Saltwater Cowboys!
