Creating magazine-worthy bedding is as easy as 1-2-3-4-5! (1) Lay the foundation with a high thread count Egyptian cotton sheet set. Keep it simple with white bedding allowing for bleaching and to avoid any fading or staining with nightly facial products. (2) Next, add a duvet cover over a goose down filled duvet insert or a quilt. Again, keep it simple with either a white cotton or linen cover or stay with a solid neutral. If you are leaning towards a patterned cover or quilt, I’d recommend a sleek stripe in order to mix and match pattern with alternating pillows and throws as the seasons and your design interests change. (3) Duvet covers and shams typically come in a set. When given the choice, I prefer the duvet cover or quilt to match with the euro shams. Euro shams are the rectangular pillows placed at the headboard: 2 for a full/queen sized bed and 3 for a king/cal king sized bed. (4 & 5) Top it all off with the fun part where you can get creative playing with pattern, texture, and depth: blanket or throw and decorative pillows.
